Sally Borg - Metal Art

I use old tools, shovels, and metal pieces to make whimsical sculptures in my garage in south Scottsdale. I love the texture and color of rusty steel, and when I can bring new life to discarded metal, creating a piece that makes people smile, I feel fulfilled. The joy I get from creating shines in my lighthearted work.
I have found that the more creative I am, the more creative I become, and that’s exciting. There is nothing more satisfying to me than seeing the potential in some junk metal and bringing it to life. I can’t wait to get into the shop when I have an idea in my head.
When I’m not making art, I can be found walking my dog, swimming, cycling, cooking, entertaining – anything but sitting still.
